Studio "Good practice"

Studio is an intuitive tool that makes it possible for non-programmers with a good understanding of Odoo and some basic development concepts to modify Odoo standard view and features, to enhance and automate workflows and to manage adapt documents to your needs. You can even create a new app from scratch.

That said, Studio requires some basic system skills and knowledge of the Studio application itself.

Remember, just because it is easy to add a field or view, that does not mean it is free to maintain.  That you as a user "know your in-house processes, does guarantee that all Studio changes are useful or wise.

While we occasionally use Studio to develop mock-ups before we develop modifications we see Studio as a Tool for Customers (non-developers) to use themselves.  We can help you to understand and learn Studio Basics.  On occasion we recommend Customers to use Studio for changes and modifications they wish to develop and maintain in-house.

We strongly advise our customers to avoid dependancies between Odoo modifications and Studio. In simple terms, if you need us to develop an Odoo modification that has a relationship to x_studio fields we will always convert these fields from Studio and into the mod/app.
