For those of you who are using the Manufacturing, Inventory and Barcode apps, you will see some improvements in version 17.
The new Manufacturing Order Overview centralizes all relevant data, including the component status and reordering options. It makes replenishment even easier. You can also compare vendors directly from the dynamic report.
Instead of using the Tablet View you can now use the new Shop Floor app. It is an absolute game changer for work center operators. All confirmed Manufacturing Orders are displayed in the Shop Floor app and the operators of each station can follow all types of work instructions with minimal effort.
In Odoo 17 you can also handle your manufacturing orders using a barcode scanner or any mobile device. Just scan the used components to update the manufacturing order. You can also set the system to automatically print once a barcode is scanned.
The Inventory app also got a revamp on the picking flow. You now instantly get the quantities per location when you reserve products.
